Trenton is one of the most dangerous cities in America. Our police department has been politicized, understaffed, and undermined for decades. Rolando will rebuild TPD, restore specialized crime-fighting units, and implement proven strategies that actually reduce violence—not just talk about it.
Ending Poverty & Creating Opportunity
Crime is driven by poverty. To truly fix Trenton, we must break the cycle by creating real jobs, attracting businesses that employ Trentonians, and building programs that give our residents pathways out of poverty—not just temporary relief.
Fiscal Responsibility & Eliminating State Oversight
For 15 years, the state has controlled Trenton's budget—even though transitional aid is less than 10% of our spending. Rolando will develop a plan to eliminate this aid, end state oversight, and give Trentonians control over their own city again.
Affordable Housing & Stopping Investor Exploitation
Out-of-state investors are buying up Trenton homes, doing minimal repairs, and charging outrageous rents. Families are forced to double up just to afford housing. Rolando will promote home ownership for Trentonians and stop the exploitation.
Basic Services & Infrastructure
Our streets are full of potholes. Garbage piles up. Simple requests take months or are ignored entirely. Rolando will restore basic government functions and ensure the city delivers the services residents pay for.
Downtown Revitalization & Economic Development
Downtown Trenton is filled with closed shops and abandoned buildings. Rolando will create a business-friendly environment, streamline development processes, and leverage our location between NYC and Philadelphia to attract real investment.
Education & Safe Schools
Families leave Trenton because our schools aren't safe and don't prepare children for success. Parents shouldn't have to choose between living in the city and giving their kids a quality education. Rolando will fight for safe, high-performing schools.
Accountability & Transparency
Trenton has been plagued by corruption, FBI investigations, no-bid contracts, and wasteful spending. Rolando will run a transparent administration with measurable goals, regular public reporting, and zero tolerance for corruption.
